Innovation and Development of AOF Bearing
At the Hamburg Maritime Conference, the USA AOF Industrial Company introduced a lubricant dryer with compact structure.
AOF new products enable compact lubricant dryers to maintain the quality of lubricants by promoting reliable oil-water separation and extracting moisture from stern seal lubricants.
Even if oil or water seal rings are installed, these liquids still require lubrication of the stern bushing seal rings. This is how a small amount of water can mix with the lubricant, causing the lubricant to deteriorate into ethanol and acid, damaging the sealing ring. This can reliably prevent oil/water mixtures from occurring frequently in oil-lubricated stern shaft seals without air chambers.
The lubricant dryer of the USA AOF Bearing Company is equipped with a pump that permanently provides fresh lubricants for sealed and associated tanks, removes dirt, and measures it in the tank. The system will force air from below through the lubricant, while heating the liquid to form bubbles in the water to evaporate.
The compact lubricant dryer will be used as a set of plug and play solutions, including pumps, tanks, filters and control units.
